Official: Russian foreign min not to extend Turkish sanctions
MOSCOW, Dec 16 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Foreign Ministry is unaware of any government’s plans to extend the measures to punish Turkey for a plane downed in November, spokeswoman for the ministry Maria Zakharova said at a briefing Wednesday.
Business daily Kommersant reported earlier on Wednesday that there is a government’s draft order which can introduce more sanctions targeted against Turkish construction services, tourism sector, timber industry and civil pilot training.
“I know nothing about this. I have no comments in this respect, I do not have such information,” Zakharova said.
She said that a “terrifying rhetoric of Turkey” which followed the Russian Sukhoi Su-24 crash closes the possibility for a dialogue.
